Cornering light
The integrated halogen cornering light is an effective supplement to the existing dipped beam light in narrow bends. It is switched on automatically in addition to the dipped beam – depending on speed, activation of the indicator and steering angle. The lighting system is dimmed up and down gently – almost unnoticeable for oncoming traffic. The cornering light shines up to 90 degrees to the right or left and lights up dark corners, making it very suitable for tight cornering situations or for driving along hairpin bends. It is an advantage when parking up, too. A control unit evaluates the speed, steering angle and switched indicator signal. The light is only activated where it really makes sense. It provides a real increase in safety for all road users, particularly in conurbations.

Dynamic bend lighting
Dynamic bend lighting was developed for hazardous situations on winding roads. Two swivelling headlamps light up the course of the road. For this, the position of the steering wheel as well as the transverse acceleration are continually recorded and used for optimum headlamp alignment depending on vehicle speed. The maximum swivelling angle of plus/minus 15 degrees is also sufficient for driving round hairpin bends. Driving with bend lighting shows impressively how to avoid nasty surprises round bends.

DynaView® - the driving lamp system with integrated bend lighting
Driving off into uncertain darkness is a thing of the past thanks to the Hella development DynaView®.
The DynaView® system actually comprises four headlamps, two of which provide conventional main beam light and one each of which respectively – depending on the course of the bend – illuminates the road ahead. This bend lighting is controlled by an intelligent chip which continually calculates the respective transverse acceleration of the vehicle and automatically switches the required bend lighting on – completely independent of external technology such as GPS-controlled systems. Making night-time drives along winding roads considerably safer and more relaxed.
DynaView® a step towards new light intelligence.
